Nintendo makes big statements at DICE

Today at the DICE (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain) summit Reggie-Fils-Aime, Nintndo's amazing PR guy, announced quite a few amazing features coming to the DS. Starting next month kiosks in stores will allow you to DS download demos of games, including; Tetris DS, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, Mario Kart DS, Meteos, True Swing Golf and Pokemon Trozei, as well as a Metroid Prime: Hunters video. The downloads will work until you shut your system off and they're all free of charge. The only forseeable problem is a repeat of the 360's wireless controllers messing up cash registers. Hopefully Nintendo will recognize such issues.
Secondly he announced that once Metroid Prime: Hunters is released it will not only support Nintendo WiFi, but it will allow players to voice chat in game lobbies. This is a big step, not quite there disabling in-game chat, but there's potential. Both Metroid Prime: Hunters and Tetris DS will launch March 20th, so keep your eyes peeled.
