Wait a minute, so there is a DS remodel?

Today, contradicting all claims against the rumours, Nintendo Japan announced the Nintendo DS Lite. The system is smaller and lighter than it's predecessor and also has a 4-level brightness adjuster for the screens that will offer better illumination. Ths system is quite thinner and about 20% lighter and will cost 16,800 yen, about $145 USD. The system will debut in Japan March 2 this year, but no word on the American or UK launches, but Nintendo says announcements are in the works.

I think I'm going to get one, the centralized mic and the new hinge, plus longer stylus are all pluses. Does anyone else notice it looks oddly matching with the iPod theme? Maybe Nintendo's trying to cash in on the market.
