Saturday Poll: Power v.s. Poise

Which is more important to game quality? Pure graphical power or mechanical gameplay? It's obvious a game that looks great but sucks to play is a flop. But imagine if Halo 2 had used 8-bit sprites. Would it still be as popular?

Bad example... cause halo 2 isn’t a good game :P I joke I joke... but to tell you the truth you cant base a game solely on graphics or gameplay you have to have a good combination of both, people that say graphics don’t matter are downright lying
That's what I'm getting at with this question. We may say it's all gameplay, but really if it looks like crud noone's going to give it a second glance.
